Michael Meadows
Michael Meadows worked as a print and broadcast journalist for 10 years before moving into Journalism Education in the late 1980s. His research interests include community and Indigenous media history, audiences, policy and practice; media representations of First Nations people in Australia and Canada; journalism ethics and practices; and Australian rockclimbing history. He has published numerous journal articles, book chapters and books, including: Songlines to Satellites (with Helen Molnar in 2001); Voices in the Wilderness (2001), Developing Dialogues (with Susan Forde and Kerrie Foxwell, 2009) and The living rock (2015). He retired from full-time academic duties in 2015 and is an adjunct professor with the Griffith Centre for Cultural Research, Griffith University, in Brisbane.
