Faye Ginsburg

Faye Ginsburg is Director of the Center for Media, Culture & History and Kriser Professor of Anthropology at New York University where she established a longstanding fellowship program for First Nations media makers, and integrated Indigenous media studies into the NYU curriculum. In collaboration with colleagues and Indigenous producers, she has curated numerous showcases including the 2005 First Nations/First Features showcase at NYC’s Museum of Modern Art and the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington D.C.   Author and editor of four books, she is currently working on Mediating Culture: Indigenous Media in the Digital Age, based on over thirty years of research with, support of, and advocacy for Indigenous media makers in the U.S., Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Brazil, and Mexico.
